- Canvas Prints Details
- Photographs printed on canvas look absolutely fantastic and visually stunning.
- Canvas prints are coated, and printed with archival quality inks.
- Canvas prints are created with an commercial grade professional printer, which features a Micro
Piezo DX3™ print head and uses 7-color, pigment-based UltraChrome™ Ink. In order to produce the
highest quality product possible, images are printed on PremierArt™ Water Resistant canvas that has
been created especially for enlarged portrait and fine art printing. This surface features a true canvas
texture with a fine finish.
- Canvas prints have a Giclee Satin Matte coating. The ink is UltraChrome™, it is archival and it is oil
based. It is also resin coated for longevity. The coating is not oil based, it is water based. It has a UV
protectant and sealant to help make it water resistant. The inks and the coating have UV protection.
- Canvas prints are stretched and mounted on a wood frame. The area that is wrapped around the
mount can be considered to be similar to the bleed of a regular image…that is, a small area around
the border of the image that would be cut off in a full bleed print. In the case of the canvas, it is
wrapped around the edge. Because of the required wrap around, not all photographs are suited for a
canvas print (depending on composition).
